define sensitive and critical periods and give examples
critical periods are times in which a skill is learned or something is developed, it cannot be learned later. e.g the first 3 months of a cats life their eyes develop. if their eye is closed for those first three months then the eye will never be able to see.
sensitive periods are times in which a skill is supposed to be learned or something is supposed to be developed, it can be difficult to learn later. e.g language, movement.
