PAP newly acquired auto coverage
Liability, med payments, and UM will be added
Must notify insurer within 14 days of insured becoming the owner
Other than collision
- Missiles/falling objects
- fire
- theft/larceny
- explosion/earthquake
- windstorm
- hail water flood
- VMM
- riot civil commotion
- birds animals
- glass breakage
Nonowned auto
Any private passenger auto, pickup, van, or trailer operated by or in the custody of the named insured or a family member, but that are not titled by or furnished for the regular use of the insured.
Hired auto
Leased, hired, rented, or borrowed from someone other than an employee or partner
Part A Liability pays for
BI and PD (insured at fault)
Defense costs (in addition to policy limits)
Costs for settling/defending the insured(end when limits are exhausted)
Part A Liability Supplementary payments
Bail bonds up to $250
Premiums on appeal bonds, bonds to release attachments
Interest on a judgment (after judgment has been entered)
Other reasonable expenses, up to $200 per day for loss or earning for assisting in legal proceedings
ALL IN ADDITION TO LIABILITY LIMIT
Part A Liability exclusions
- intentional injury or damage
- damage to property owned or being transported by a covered person
- damage to property rented, used, or in care of a covered person except a home or private garage
- BI to an employee during course of employment
- use of vehicle as public or livery conveyance, except carpools
- damage caused by any person while engaged in the business of selling, repairing, servicing, storing, or parking vehicles designed for use mainly on public highways
- use of commercial type vehicles in any business
- ppl using covered auto without permission
- ppl insured under a nuclear energy policy
Part B med payments
When must expenses and services be rendered?
Within 3 years of accident
UM vehicles include
- no liability bond or insurance on the vehicle
- bond or insurance is less than what is required by state laws in which accident occurred
- hit and run
- bonding or insurance company denies coverage or is
UIM
Insured’s UIM limits - Driver’s BI = UIM payout
Part D: coverage for damage to your auto
Physical damage exclusions
- vehicle used as public livery, excluding carpools
- wear and tear, freezing, mechanical breakdown,
- radioactive contamination, nuclear weapons, war
- electrical equipment that receives or transmits audio, etc
- confiscation or destruction by gov or civil authorities
- to a camper body or trailer not in declarations
- to any custom furnishings or equip in a pickup or van
- racing facility
- loss of personal effects
Part D coverage for damage to your auto
Limits of liability
The LESSER of
- the ACV of the vehicle at the time of the loss or
- amount necessary to repair or replace the vehicle
non owned trailers limit of $1500
electronic equipment limit $1000
Part D coverage for damage to your auto
Transportation expenses limits
-up to $20 per day up to $600
-24 hr waiting period for reasons other than theft
-48 hr waiting period
No deductible required!
Rental reimbursement is only available when
other than collision coverage is on the policy
