Thermosticles considered taking Athenians fleet and leaving until they put a sided their differences.

- Uses Theban advice to conquer Greece ‘without striking a bow’ by sending £££ to all leading men in towns to destroy unity.
- M goes straight to Athens, gold sent to Spartan enemies (ARGOS)
- Athenians had to abandon Athens again, they were angry with Sparta for only being concerned with Isthmus.
