Peripheral Vasculature Flashcards
Subclavian Artery
(left)
Brachiocephalic Trunk
(artery)
Common Carotid Artery
(left)
Axillary Artery
(begins as subclavian, switches to axillary at first rib, extends to lateral border of teres major)
(teres major inserts at intertubercular groove of humerus)
(after which become brachial artery)
Brachial Artery
(subclavian > axillary > brachial at teres major)
Radial Artery
(splits from brachial artery)
Ulnar Artery
(splits from brachial artery)
(travels with ulnar nerve)
Superficial Palmar Arch
(mostly formed by ulnar artery)
Superior Vena Cava
R + L Brachiocephalic Veins
Jugular Vein
(splits from brachiocephalic vein)
Subclavian Vein
(joins with jugular vein to form brachiocephalic vein, extends to first rib)
(below and in front of subclavian artery)
Axillary Vein
(artery behind)
(from first rib to teres major)
Brachial Vein
(distal to teres major)
Carpal Tunnel
(median nerve passes through here)
