Sensory loss:
Posterior calf and lateral aspect of the foot
Motor loss: Plantar flexion (can't stand on toes)
Reflex:
Loss of ankle jerk
Describe the clinical syndrome that would arise from a lesion in C5 root?
Sensory loss:
Lateral arm
Motor:
Shoulder abduction
Elbow flexion
Reflex:
Loss of biceps reflex
Describe the clinical syndrome that would arise from median nn compression in carpal tunnel syndrome?
Sensory:
Parasthesia on the palmar aspect of the 1st 3 and a half digits.
Motor:
Wasting of pollicus brevis
Describe the clinical syndrome that would arise from a ulnar nn palsy?
Sensory:
Affects medial 1.5 digits.
Motor:
Wasting/weakness of the hypothenar mm, interossei and medial 2 lumbricals
Describe the clinical syndrome that would arise from a radial nn palsy?
Sensory:
Affects the dorsum of the hand.
Motor:
Weakness in the brachioradialis and finger extensors.
Leads to wrist drop.
