Usually nasal or temporal
Dx of exclusion
Painful peripheral corneal ulceration with overhanging edge
Unilateral type- older pts
Bilateral- younger black pts, worse prognosis, can perforate
Associated with hep C

Terriens marginal Degeneration
A
Slow corneal thinning
Usually superior then inferior
Causes against the rule irregular astigmatism
Can perforate with mild trauma
