Acute Limb Ischemia

A
  • new pulse deficit, rest pain, pallor, pralysis
  • most common cause: in situ thrombosis of a lower extremity bypass graft/stent
  • need invasive angiography to define level of occlusion
  • tx: if viable surgical embolectomy or catheter-directed thrombolysis, if not then amputation
  • NEVER systemic antithrombolytics
