Acute Limb Ischemia
A
- new pulse deficit, rest pain, pallor, pralysis
- most common cause: in situ thrombosis of a lower extremity bypass graft/stent
- need invasive angiography to define level of occlusion
- tx: if viable surgical embolectomy or catheter-directed thrombolysis, if not then amputation
- NEVER systemic antithrombolytics
