Mexican Revolution 7.1
The Mexican Revolution was a revolt against Diaz’s dictatorship, which eventually led to Mexico’s new constitution. This was an effect of the internal conflict that mexico was going through because of Diaz’s controversial actions, such as imprisoning Francisco Madero.
Russian Revolution 7.1
Russia during the early 20th century had a very weak government, which started as an internal conflict but grew to external conflicts as they couldn’t support a strong military. As a result, the Bolsheviks seized power from the Russian government as they had a strong support from the Russian workers.
Causes of WW1 7.2
There were many long term and Immediate causes for WW1, the longer causes are the increase of nationalism and imperialism which led to alliances and opposing powers. The immediate cause was the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand, which caused an immediate war.
Total War 7.3
This was a style of war were a entire nation is involved in a war, in addition to the military.
Great Depression 7.4
The Great Depression was a time during the 1920s and 30s that had severe inflation through out parts of the world. Some countries however were doing better during this time.
New Deal 7.4
The New Deal was a law that Roosevelt made during the Great Depression to insure that this would never happen again, however this did not end the Great Depression.
Five Year Plans (Soviet Union) 7.4
These plans were a russian attempt to transform their government into an industrial power, so that they could catch up to the west.
Fascist Corporatist Economy 7.4
Fascism was a new government style which was created for extreme nationalism. However the poor side of this government style is that they used ethnic minorities to explain their problems, essentially blaming them for nothing.
Mandates 7.5
During this era the League of Nations created a mandate system to control the colonies and territories of the central powers.
Causes of WW2 7.6
The biggest cause for WW2 was the increasing power of Adolf Hitler and the problems and controversies that came with him.
New Military Tech WW2 7.7
Some new military tech and styles arrived from the WW2 such as home fronts and trench warfare.
Holocaust 7.8
The Holocaust was a mass genocide of the Jewish race because of Nazi Germany. Jews were sent to camps were they would either be killed immediately, or tortured until they die.
Ukrainian Genocide 7.8
The Soviet Union attempted genocide towards Ukraine. They did this by making it impossible to get out of the country, and then destroying the crops, creating famine and fatigue.
Cold War 8.1
The cold war was a time of tension between the soviet union and united states, in which both countries were mass producing bombs. This tension arrived after the world war when the united states was known as the most powerful country in the world, and russia opposed.
Non-Aligned Movement 8.2
The Non ALigned Movement took place in African and Asian countries that wanted to stay out of the us-soviet union cold war.
Kwame Nkrumah 8.2/8.5
Kwame Nkrumah was a Ghana leader that led the country to independence from great britain in 1957.
Proxy Wars 8.3
Proxy wars are when a war is being conducted by countries that are not native to that land. For example both the Korean war and Vietnam wars were Proxy Wars.
Communist Revolution in China 8.3
The Communist Revolution in China was when the people of china revolted against the chinese government because of its internal issues and lack of strong militia.
Great Leap Forward 8.4
In 1958 china underwent a new policy called the Great Leap Forward which was an economic journey held by the communist party. This however made many chinese citizens upset as the land was being used for different controversial things.
Communist Revolution for Vietnamese Independence 8.4
During WW2 Japan controlled Vietnam, however when the war was over Japan was much more weak, leading to native Vietnamese gaining independence. Eventually the communist party in Vietnam took over to evenly disperse the land.
