Furcation Involvement: Class 1
[early/beginning] probe can enter concavity only. *not seen on radiograph
Furcation Involvement: Class 2
[moderate] probe can enter furcation but not through to other side. *slightly seen on radiograph
Furcation Involvement: Class 3
[severe] through and through furcation, covered by soft tissue. *appears in radiograph
Furcation Involvement: Class 4
[severe] through and through, NOT covered by soft tissue (exposed). *appears in radiograph
