Performance Flashcards
What height must you ensure you clear obstacles by on takeoff
50ft
Equation to calculate horizontal obstacle clearance (wingspan less than 60m)
1/2 aircraft wingspan + 60m + 0.125D
D = distance travelled from T/O to obstacle
In what % of the runway must you achieve a full stop
70%
Landing factor if wet runway
1.15
X1.15 again wet grass
Single engine service ceiling?
12000’
DA42 minimum flight mass
1250kg
DA42 MTOW?
1785kg
DA42 Maximum ZFM ?
1650kg (no mod)/1674kg (188)/1730kg (188,195)
DA42 max LM?
1700kg (no mod)/1785kg (195)
DA42 MRM?
MTOM+8kg => 1785+8=1793kg
T* above 55*C, what limits must you observe?
ZFM has to go below 1650kg
What manoeuvres is the DA42 approved for?
1) All normal flight maneuvers;
2) Stalling (with the exception of dynamic stalling); and
3) Lazy Eights, Chandelles, as well as steep turns and similar maneuvers, in which
an angle of bank of not more than 60° is attained.
Stalling with asymmetric power or one engine inoperative is not permitted.
what’s the DA42 manoeuvring altitude?
Max altitude 18000’ PA
Min crew 1, max 4
Load factors +3.8/-1.52 at Va
Load factors at Vne +3.8/-0
With flaps 2.0/(blank)
exceeding negative G withll produce a L/R OIL PRES warning
Kinds of operation - VFR/NVFR/IFR/ if (054) - into known or forecast icing conditions
Flight into known TS - prohibited
Surfaces - paved/grass
