A: this is the most beautiful/great thing a woman could be doing

2) why is the Torah giving so many words?
A: to show His love for them
e.x. a mother knows all her children’s names, no matter how many, because she loves them, and their important to her. Hashem did the same to us, and counted us again

A: this was in Mitzrayim, not Goshen - the land that Pharaoh gave them

when Bnei Yisroel are alone, theyre in peace, but when theyre mixed in, even the גויים dont consider them

Q: why new?
A: 1) חדש ממש - completely new
2)שנתחדשו גזירותיו -
(when Rashi gives two answers, hes not satisfied with either.)
שפתי חכמים - it never said the king died, the king made it as if he didnt know

Q: why does Pharaoh have to outsmart Bnei Yisroel? why cant he just do whatever he wants? (hes the king! if he wants to kill them, he could, if he wants to send them away, he could! why doea he have to outsmart them?)
A: (ON SHEET) 1) he couldnt hit the nation that just came for no reason
2) his people woudnt let him do injustice like this
3) bnei Yisroel were very big and strong, and they would make a big war and fight back

A: 1) העם - the nation - Bnei Yisroel

A 1) (פשט) Pharaoh wants them to out with his permission, not on their own - against his will, only when he wants them to leave
2) (דרש) Pharaoh doesnt say it straight out, because he doesnt want to say something bad about his nation, because then it might happen (עין הרע)
(Rashi brings דרש, because it doesnt make sense to be afraid of someone, and then not want them to leave)

Pharaoh collected taxes - that theyll build buildings for storing treasure

according to how much suffering Bnei Yisroel went through, thats how much they multiplied

Q: why כן?
A: Pharaoh says פן - maybe, Hashem says כן - they will multiply

Q: whos disgusted over who?
A: 1) the Mitzri’im were disgusted with their own lives (because of Bnei Yisroel) (things were going so wrong)
2) Bnei Yisroel were like thorns in the Mitzrim’s eyes (Mitzrim disgusted over Bnei Yisroel)

Q: what does this mean?
A: with backbreaking labor, that (weakens) breaks the body and shadders it
