Hungarian king from the angevin dynasty. He created a strong central monarchy by defeating the sligarchs qne introducing the Visegrad summit, honor lands, reforming the army (banderia) and taxes. Encouraging mining and creating a new stable currency

A supported of Mate Csak who tried to assassinate charles I in 1330 after his lands got taken away and allegedly his daughter got raped
Louis the Great
A hungarian king from the angevin dynasty, son of charles I. He led military campaigns to Naples and the Balkans. He made the laws of 1351 (law of entailment, principality of the same liberty, ninth) The first personal union happened under him
Joanna of Naples
Wife of Andrew, had him killed, giving lewis the motive to lead campaigns to Naples
Sigismund of Luxembourg
Son of Charles IV, grew up in the hungarian count and elected as king. He created the two-line defense system against of Ottomans (+ militia portalis). He organized the Synod of Constance, at which Jan Hus was burned at the stake, resulting in the Hussite wars. After winning, Sg. became king of Bohemia, and aspired to be HRE, which he was elcted as in 1433
Albert Hasburg
A nobleman from Wallachia, a successful warrior and diplomat, supported Wladyslaw Jagiello. Held several successful campaigns against the turks (the long campaign). Battle of Varna: loss, death of Wladyslaw. He was elected as governor in 1446 in the stead of Laszlo V. He died after resisting the seige of Belgrade
Laszlo V
Son of Hasburg albery, a hungarian king. He ordered the execution of Laszlo hunyadi, took matthias hostage and fled to vienna and late Prague where he died in 1457
Wladyslaw Jagiello
King of Poland and Hungary, supported by Hunyadi league, he had the offensive strategy against the turks and died in the Battle of Varna in 1444
Michael Szilagyi
Served as a general during the seige of belgrade, became leader of the Hunyadi league after Laszlo H. died and pressured others to elect Matthias as king. He was named regent and severely restricted his power as king
Laszlo Hunyadi
Older son of John Hunyadi, who inherited his titles. After killing Cillei, Laszlo V ordered his execution
Matthias Hunyadi
Younger son of John Hunyadi, elected king at 16. His powers were limited initially and he had to create a centralized monarchy by displacing barons or creating a new layer of aristocracy to him. he paid a mercenary away and reformed taxes (hearth tax, duty of crown, subsidy)
Battle of Kenyermezo: He followed a defensive policy ahainst the turks and he led crusades for the bohemian throne. He aspired to be the Holy Roman Emperor, but was not elected. His marriage brought Renaissance to hungary
Frederick III
Holy Roman Emperor, during Matthias’s reign. He sold the holy crown to Matthias at the treaty of Wiener Newstatt in 1463. Matthias declared war against him in 1482.

Teacher of Matthias, later organized an uprising against him in 1471 after Matthias terminated the estate general
