I am a carpenter living in a Medieval town. I am a member of the carpenter’s guild. There is over 35 different craftspeople. Some of these are shoemakers, tailors and bakers. There are many more craftspeople than there was 20 years ago, which is good for the town. It took many years for me to become what I am today. It was worth it because I have my own shop. In it I sell furniture like tables, chairs and desks.
Paragraph 2 ~ becoming a master craftsman

After the 7 years I became a Journeyman. This meant I could get paid for my work. And also I was allowed to leave my master in search of better wages if I wanted. Then to become a master craftsman myself I had to create a masterpiece. Along with the masterpiece I had to pay my master a large sum of money. Some of my friends could not afford to pay their masters so they stayed as journeymen. Since I had now became a master craftsman I opened up a shop, the one I work at to this day. My masterpiece was a beautiful chair.
