Pelvis, Pubes, and Sacrum Q&A Session Flashcards
Viscero-somatic levels of the pelvis?
T10-L2
Right ASIS is superior, right PSIS inferior, standing flexion test is positive on the left…. dx?
Left anterior innominate rotation
Left inferior pubic rami… dx?
Left inferior pubic shear
Left on right sacrum… spring/backward bending test?
Positive
Left on right sacrum… sacral sulci?
Anterior on the right
Left on right sacrum… ILA?
Inferior on the right
Viscerosomatics… facilitation at levels T10-T12 correspond to which structures?
correspond to uterus and ovaries
R standing flexion, L ASIS superior, R PSIS inferior, R pubic symphysis inferior… pelvic dx?
Right inferior innominate shear (“only right hand should move when doing shadow hands”)
R standing flexion test, R ASIS inferior, R PSIS superior , R pubic symphysis inferior…. dx?
Right anterior innominate rotation
L posterior innominate rotation… findings?
L ASIS superior, + L standing flexion test, R PSIS superior (“implies inferior L PSIS), L pubic symphysis superior
L superior innominate shear… findings?
+ L standing flexion test, L ASIS superior, R PSIS inferior, R pubic symphysis inferior
R lateral innominate flare… findings?
+ R standing flexion test, L ASIS medial ….
Three options for pubic dx?
1) superior shear
2) inferior shear
3) compression (tender pubic tubercles)
What do all three of these have in common? bilateral ASIS and PSIS have to be level
What do we need to come up with a sacral dx?
Seated flexion test (“side that is stuck…positive on the side of the dysfunction…ilium that moves first/fastest is the dysfunctional side”)
Backward bending / spring test (is the sacrum flexed or extended? … positive backward bending test = sacrum is extended)
Landmarks (sacral sulci, ILA’s… these can be anterior or posterior, aka deep or shallow respectively)
Extended sacrum (positive backward bending)?
Torsion - X on Y
