SCP=Inferior PSIS’s
CP=Thumb pads
Doctor Stance=Seated behind patient
Movt=Side w/ most movement is fixed b/c PSIS will not release off of sacrum
Seated Sacro-Iliac Axial Rotation
SCP=PSIS-Sacral interspace CP=Finger tips of digits 2-4 Doctor Stance=Standing on contralateral side Ipsilateral Movt=PSIS glides medially Contralateral Movt=PSIS glides laterally

Leg Fanning
SCP=PSIS interspace
CP=Thumb pads
Doctor Stance=Seated behind patient
Abduction Movt=both PSIS glide medially & anterior (nutation)
Adduction Movt=both PSIS glide laterally counternutation
Sacro-Iliac Fluid Motion
SCP=Superior/medial PSIS
CP=Hook of hamate on doctor’s superior hand (hand closest to head)
Doctor Stance=Standing on opposite side of patient (leg that isn’t being tested)
Direction of pressure applied=Posterior to anterior, superior to inferior, and medial to lateral
Movt=If both legs lengthen simultaneously, fixation is indicated on side being tested. If only leg tested lengthens there is no fixation present
