Paradoxical breathing
Reversed pattern.
Belly in on on inhale and expands on exhale.
Shallow breathing (visual)

Rehab for Rib Flare
Carry objects (baby) on opposite side rib flare to activate opposing obliques.
Side plank on weak side 2x the rate of strong side.
Work on breath.
Psoas Arm Sign
Patient steps into lunge with hands on sides.
If easier to breathe in this position psoas is working overtime to help with spinal stability.
Bending and lifting you exhale on -
the hard part!

Diaphragm Innervation
Phrenic Nerve (c3-5) and sensory afferents from intercostal and subcostal
Abdominals Innervation
Mainly thoracic (T7-T12)
