Before publication so that the research can be considered in terms of it’s validity, significance and originality.
What do the reviewers do?
Report on the quantity of the research.

What happens when the reviewers select their option?
It is considered by a peer review panel.
What is the usual form of peer review?
Single-blind review.
What does a single-blind review involve?
The names of the reviewers not being revealed to researchers.
What is the intention of using a single-blind review?
Lead to anonymity and unbiased review.
What is the potential issue with a single-blind review?
Reviewers to delay their reviews so they can publish similar research first and hide behind their anonymity.
