loperamide is a mu opiod receptor antagonist that slows the GI peristalsis and is anti-diarrheal agent. in high doses, it can reach CNS and cause respiratory depression and AMS.
What is treatment for loperamide related side effects such AMS and respiratory depression?
nalaxone, an opioid antagonist.
