What are the 13 age specific sreenings and when do they start

A

1) Behavioral and mental health screening - at all ages
2) Blood pressure - after 3 years of age
3) Body mass index (BMI) - after age 2 years
4) Cholesterol screening - between 9 and 11 years and again between 17 and 21 years
5) Dental assessments - when they have teeth
6) Developmental screenings - at key ages
7) Hearing screen - at birth and whenever there are concerns
8) Newborn metabolic screening - at birth and between 1 and 2 weeks of age
9) Sexually transmitted infection - testing for sexually active adolescents
10) Tuberculosis risk assessment - should be done at health maintenance visits especially after 1 year of age
11) Vision screening - at 3 years of age and yearly after that
12) Lead screening - at 12 and 24 months
13) Hemoglobin - at 12 months, if premature do at birth and 4 months
