Toxoplasmosis features
hydrocephalus w/ generalized intracranial calc, chorioretinitis
Rubella features
cataracts, deafness, heart defects, blueberry muffin spots
CMV features
microcephaly w/ perivent calc, petechia w/ thrombocytopenia, sensorineural hearing loss
Herpes features
1st week: PNA/shock. 2nd week: skin vesicles, keratoconjunctivitis. 3-4th week: acute meningoencephalitis.
Syphilis features
osteochondritis, periostitis, desquamating skin rash of palms and soles, snuffles
Varicella features
neonatal: PNA. congenital: limb hypoplasia, cutaneous scars, seizures, MR
absolute breastfeeding contraindications
antineoplastics, iodide/mercurials, lithium, chloramphenicol, nicotine, alcohol
newborn reflexes
moro, grasp, rooting, tonic neck, placing reflexes (disappear at 4-6 mos)
parachute reflex (present at 6-8 mos and persists)
9 months
pincer grasp, creeps, crawls, knows own name
1 yo
cruises, 1 or more words, plays ball
15 months
builds 3-cube tower, walks alone, makes lines and scribbles
1.5 yo
builds 4-cube tower, walks down stairs, says 10 words, feeds self
2 yo
builds 7-cube tower, runs well, up and down stairs, jumps with 2 feet, threads shoelaces, handles spoon, 2-3 senstences
3 yo
walks downstairs alt feet, rides tricycle, knows age and sex, understands taking turns
4 yo
hops on 1 foot, throws ball overhead, tells stories, participates in gp play
