A
- estimates the maintenance hourly fluid requirements
- for the first 10 kg, 4 mL/kg/hr
- 10-20, +2 mL/kg/hr
- anything past 20 kg… just add 1 mL/kg/hr
- remember that this calculates HOURLY fluid rate
