Neonatal cephalic pustulosis

A

-Neonatal acne
-Transient eruption in infants 3 to 6 weeks
- spontaneous resolution
- respond quickly to imidazoles clotrimazole ketoconazole
- if very inflamed or itchy can use Hydrocortisone 1%
- DD infantile acne, mili, miliaria

Impetigo school sore

A

Bacterial infection
Comes as blister that burst and become weepy before covered with crust
Itchy

Mupirocin 8 hourly for 5 days for localised skin sore

Flucloxacillin, cefelexin or trimethoprim sulphamethoxazole for multiple lesions

Endemic - benzathine benzyl penicillin

Avoid school until 24 hours after treatment

Erythema Nodosum

A

Painful erythematous plaque or nodule usually in lower leg
Remove over 2 to 3 weeks
Clinical diagnosis
Bed rest and NSAIDS
Leg elevation compression bandage might help
Severe symptoms then prednisolone for two weeks and taper
