What are PEDESTRIAN PHASES (aka PEDESTRIAN SCRAMBLES)?
A series of criss-cross, diagonal cross walks that allow pedestrians to cross in any direction at the same time, including diagonally, across the intersection. These signals stop all vehicles during the scramble phase.
