ETHICS / Ethics all the way
a system of moral principles is called
ethics
are therefore concerned with these sorts of moral decision
Ethics
is a value based on hard work and diligence.
It is also a belief in the moral benefit of work and its ability to enhance character.
may include being reliable, having initiative, or pursuing new skills.
Work ethic
is basically the belief that work is a good moral.
It also refers to sets of values that are defined and characterized by diligence and hard work.
can as well be defined as the inherent ability of work to strengthen character.
Work ethic
provide part of the decision-making foundation for decision-making when ethics are in play because these theories represent the viewpoints from which individuals seek guidance as they make decisions
Ethical theories
4 Ethical Principles
- Beneficence
- Least Harm
- Respect for Autonomy.
- Justice
guides the decision maker to do what is right and good.
Beneficence
Similar to beneficence, it deals with situations in which no choice appears beneficial
Least Harm
This principle states that decision making should focus on allowing people to be autonomous to be able to make decisions that apply to their lives
Respect for Autonomy
ethical principle states that decision makers should focus on actions that are fair to those involved
Justice
4 Forms of Ethical Theories.
- Deontology
- Utilitarianism
- Rights (Ethical Relativism)
- Virtue (Virtue Ethics)
In ethical theories based on rights, the rights established by a society are protected and given the highest priority
Rights
judges a person by his/her character rather than by an action that may deviate from his/her normal behavior
Virtue
states that people should adhere to their obligations and duties when engaged in decision making when ethics are in play.
