PCCW Flashcards
State PCCW normal temps and basis
Train A: 65-75 for VCT and Seal injection temperature
Train B: 65-78 to help reduce containment temperature since we run fairly close to upper limit of 120F
State PCCW high temp trip
135F for 60 seconds (2/2)
State PCCW auto start feature
30 second time delay and
NO high temperature in.
How is a Thermal Barrier HX Leak isolated
Flow element alarms at 71 GPM
NSO energizes MOV and valve auto closes
Other loops of TB may alarm due to increased flow after 1 loop is isolated
State how EPS interacts with CC pumps
The Running PCCW pump will start at SR4
If 2 pumps in same loop were running preferred pump will start
To start standby pump EPS must be reset or RMO reset
Discuss how the PCCW TCV and Bypass work together to cool PCCW
The two valves modulate together to maintain temperature per setpoint on the MCB.
On full flow HX outlet opens and HX bypass closes
Discuss how PCCW responds on a T-Signal
Isolates: LTDN HX, SF HX, WPB.
Initiates CC to RHR HX
Discuss how PCCW responds on a P-Signal
Isolates containment (not TB) Initiates CC to CBS HX
State how PCCW responds on a Low head tank level Setpoint and coincident
<42% 2 of 3 on 1 of 2 trains
Isolates WPB and Rad monitors
State how PCCW responds on a Low-Low Head tank level, Setpoint and Coincident
<36% 2 of 3 on 1 of 2 trains
Isolates containment, not TB
Discuss why MCB PCCW Flow indication does not represent total system flow
The flow element is down stream of:
SFHX
EAH AC units
CCP oil coolers
