PC-12 Flashcards
Alternate airport wx requirements

With at least on appr.:
- add 400ft to MDA or DA
- add 1sm to landing mins
With 2 diff appr to 2 diff rwys:
- add 200 ft to higher MDA or DA
- Add 1/2 am to higher landing min
When is departure alternate needed?

P3: after centrifugal compressor
Used for: ECS Boots FCU Fuel Purge Valve (EPA Canister)
IGS Systems
What does the ACS bleed air -> INHIBIT do?
Why would you do this on takeoff?
What does the ACS emergency shutoff do?
Closes primary shutoff valve
On short field takeoff to provide more takeoff power
Closes firewall shutoff valve and opens emergency air duct to provide fresh air
IGS Systems
How does the torque limiter work?
If engine producing too much power, need a way to tell FCU to produce less
Py is the way to do this - under normal conditions Py = P3
When Py gets too high (> 44.34), torque limiter will bleed off some of this to trick FCU into thinking pressure in engine decreased, therefore less power, so FCU meters less fuel
