Brand Premium: difference in prices between brands of same item
Therapeutic group premium - Applies to drugs with similar efficacy and health outcome. Aus goverenment subsidies the cost of the lowest priced item in that group. Prescriber can apply to services aus or DVA for approval so their patient can be exempt from this
Special patient contribution ONLY applies to PBS not RPBS- when an agreement isnt reached between manufacturer and the aus gov. Prescriber can apply for exemption
