-sudden onset

-one side throbbing pain
-nausea and vomiting
-sensitive to light and sound
-migraine aura

-before migraine
-5-60 min
-tingling in extremities
-change in vision/blindspots/flashes
-sensory changes
Migraine treatment
-lay down in dark room
-ergots, triptans
-B-blockers, anti-epileptics, Botox
-referal required
-max: 10 days/month

-more severe
-sudden onset
-15min-3hours
-could be in a series
