A rate NTE $150 a month until debt is paid
What is the definition of available pay?
2/3 of the member’s pay minus: amounts deducted in arriving at disposable pay, plus: amounts collected under debt collection authorities
What is the definition of disposable pay?
Pay minus FICA, Federal and state tax, dental, TSP and SBP
How much notice does a member receive of collection other than routine adjustments?
30 days
What is he maximum deduction of debt?
15% of disposable pay
In what cases does the maximum debt collection rate not apply?
The overpayment is the members fault , the member consents to a higher collection rate, member is separating from service, travel debts
What happens to debt if member is injured in a combat zone?
The debt is suspended for 90 days
What is the ate of collection of debt when a member is held liable or damage to govt property?
15% of available pay
Who has final resolution of claims exceeding $10,000 when a member appeals the debt or the coast guard recommends a waiver?
