What is the pathophysiology of Kawasaki disease?
A
Genetic preponderance -> infectious agent
Endothelial cells attacked and expose tissue factor/ collagen
Hypercoagulability/ thrombus -> cardiac ischaemia
Weak artery walls (fibrin deposition from healing)-> coronary aneurysms
Thickened walls -> ischaemia
