Q

Through which vessels do WBC extravasate during inflammation?

A

Postcapillary venules

  • due to thin-walled nature, postcapillary venules become more permeable during states of inflammation, allowing white blood cells to extravasate into the surrounding tissue.
  • other vessels (like arteriole or capillariy) have too thick vessel wall
