PATH - Renal tubular defects Flashcards

1
Q

Fanconi syndrome

A

reabsorptive defect in *PCT

Associated with excretion of nearly all amino acids, glucose, HCO3–, and PO43–.

May result in metabolic acidosis (proximal renal tubular acidosis).
