Explain the origin of the three piece patch.
After the July 4th, 1947 incident in Hollister. California the AMA published an article denouncing the offensive bikers stating that “…only 1% (of bikers) are outlaws”. this lead these “outlaw bikers” to defiantly cut their AMA shirts and jackets into 3 pieces and sew them onto their own jackets.
What is the COC and what is their mission?
The Confederation of Clubs. Its overall mission is unity in the motorcycling world. it exists to: 1. bring communication through the clubs. 2. improve the motorcyclist image. 3. support legislation for the betterment of motorcycling. 4. protect our biker rights in the court system. 5. in some areas they are the sanctioning body for new or probate clubs.

What do the various components of the SHMC center patch stand for?
- the iron cross represents the righteous ideals of the club. 2. the crossed hammers represent the gavels of justice. 3. The black shield serves as a reminder of the CHAOTIC and often PERILOUS environment of our chosen professions and the NEED for protection from the resident evils. 4. The Warrior (H.I.L.D.A.R.) wearing the horned helmet represents all those who wage war against individuals who aim to deny our constitutional right and peace of mind. 5. The Warriors blue eyes represent the law enforcement origins of the club and are a constant reminder of the “thin blue line” that we walk.
