SE?
Monitor hepatic (liver) function and LIPIDS at baseline , one month after starting and 3 monthly.
SE: Alopecia, anaemia neutropenia/ thrombocyopenia hyperuricaemia(risk of pancreatitis if tryglycerides above 9mmol/l) photosensitivity.

where to apply and for how long
8-12 hours
suitable for adults, children aged 2 months and older and the elderly.
adult- not on face
BUT
<2 years old/ elderly- apply to the face( neck, face, ears, scalp)
Drugs to stop in the peri-operative period
clopidogrel- 7/7 before -omit -ACE-I/ARB on the morning off surgery -lithium diabetic meds -COC/HRT
