Central retinal artery occlusion
Widespread flame haemorrhages
Central retinal vein occlusion
Halo + intense pain behind eye + mx
Acute angle closure glaucoma
Mx:
Beta blockers (labetalol)
Acetazolamide
Laser iridotomy
Painless loss of vision + floaters/flashers
Retinal detachment - smooth retinal surface (serous detachment) or corrugated appearance (rhegmatogenous detachment)
Vitreous haemorrhage symptoms
red blood cells in anterior chamber of the eye via a slit lamp
CRVO mx
Photocoagulation if new vessels are forming
anti-VEGF if macula oedema
Subacute vision loss + painful eye movements + colour loss
Optic neuritis +/- multiple sclerosis
