A

Inflammation associated with thrombosis within a superficial vein, usually the long saphenous vein and its tributaries.

DVT :

  1. 20% of SI cases have DVT.
  2. 3-4% progress to DVT if left untreated.
  3. DVT Risk is linked to length of vein affected.
  4. Have US to exclude DVT.
