What events happened on what days during the passion week?
Saturday - Jesus at the home of Simon the leper, the Saturday before his death - He is anointed here
Sunday - His triumphal entry
Monday - Jesus curses the fig tree on the way into Jerusalem, in Jerusalem He clears the temple
Tuesday - The fig tree has withered, He remains in Jerusalem for a good part of the day and debates the leaders: They question him on His authority, etc - When He leaves the temple hs tells His disciples that it will all be torn down - Then He goes to the Mount of Olives and gives the Olivet Discourse (In the synoptic gospels)
Wednesday - We don’t know much about this day
Thursday - A lot happening 1) Disciples sent into town to prepare for the Passover 2) Passover in the upper room 3) Synoptics focus on the inauguration of the Lord’s Supper 4) Jesus goes to the garden
Friday - Filled with interrogations, Jews in the night, Romans during the day, then He is crucified
Saturday - Laying in the tomb
Sunday - Resurrection

What were the six trials of Jesus and how did each one take place?
Jesus goes through six trials (3 Jewish and 3 Roman)
- 1) Annas

- While he’s standing for the truth inside, Peter is outside lying about who he is
- 2) Sanhedrin at night - Caiaphas
