Passenger Service Unit consist of:
- Loudspeaker
- “NO SMOKING” &
“FASTEN SEATBELT” sign. - Attendant Call Button
- Passenger reading lights
- Passenger reading light pushbuttons
- Individual Air Outlets
- Seat row numbers & letters/
indications lamp for passenger call - Emergency oxygen panel
Cabin Intercommunication Data System (CIDS)
☝🏼️Is a centralized cabin system for communication, indications and calls
☝🏼operated by a central controller and a high speed data busses along the cabin.
☝🏼 It is a microprocessor-based system used for maximum control, testing and monitoring of a variety of cabin systems.
Control Panels
☝🏼️Consist of FAP (enhanced) and AAP, which enables the cabin crew to control and monitor various cabin systems.
- FAP- Forward Attendant Panel
- AAP- Additional Attendant Panel
- EVAC/ SMOKE Indication/Reset

What is Forward Attendant Panel (FAP)
☝️Enables cabin crew to control certain cabin systems and the CIDS, indicates the status of several cabin systems and provides the cabin zone programming.

indicates all Cabin
information.
☝️ It is used to select the
different Cabin functions
(like cabin illuminations)
& the cabin programming.

☝️are used to select system pages. Every cabin system (eg. Cabin Lighting) shown in the system pages of the FAP is selectable by the System and Function buttons.

FAP) Display Unit—
CAUT BUTTON
☝️ shown in the upper left corner of the display area.
☝️if the CIDS receives a message which cannot be indicated, the CAUT BUTTON will illuminate in flashing mode and a text message is displayed in the INFO ROW.
☝️message will stay as long as it is not pressed, when pressed the illumination becomes steady.
FAP) Display Unit—
SCREEN OFF BUTTON
☝️located in the lower end corner of the display area.
☝️switches the screen OFF
☝️an automatic event (CIDS message) or touching the FAP display area reactivates the screen again.
☝️this touch does not activate any system function.

☝ pressed to inform the flight deck crew that the cabin is ready for Take-Off/landing
