Cabin Intercommunication Data System (CIDS)

A

☝🏼️Is a centralized cabin system for communication, indications and calls

☝🏼operated by a central controller and a high speed data busses along the cabin.

☝🏼 It is a microprocessor-based system used for maximum control, testing and monitoring of a variety of cabin systems.

What is Forward Attendant Panel (FAP)

A

FAP) Display Unit—

CAUT BUTTON

A

☝️ shown in the upper left corner of the display area.

☝️if the CIDS receives a message which cannot be indicated, the CAUT BUTTON will illuminate in flashing mode and a text message is displayed in the INFO ROW.

☝️message will stay as long as it is not pressed, when pressed the illumination becomes steady.

SCREEN OFF BUTTON

A

☝️located in the lower end corner of the display area.

☝️switches the screen OFF

☝️an automatic event (CIDS message) or touching the FAP display area reactivates the screen again.

☝️this touch does not activate any system function.
