Pronoun
A word that takes the place of a noun.
Noun
Name of person, place, thing or idea.
Subject Pronoun
Replace subject nouns (I, you, he, she, it, we, they).
Object Pronoun
Replace object nouns (me, you, him, her, it, us, them).
Reflexive Pronoun
Personal pronoun + self/selves (myself, yourself, himself, herself, itself, ourselves, themselves.
Possessive Pronoun
Shows ownership (my, our, your, his, her, its, their, mine, ours, yours, his, hers, theirs).
Demonstrative Pronoun
Used to demonstrate/point out (this, that, these, those).
Indefinite Pronoun
General pronouns; don’t have specific antecedents (enough, few, fewer, less, little, many, much, several, more, most, all, both, every, each, any, either, neither, none , some, one [and other cardinal numbers]).
Interrogative Pronoun
Used to interrogate (what, which, who, whom, whose).
Relative Pronoun
Used to introduce a dependent (subordinate) adjectival clause (also called a relative clause) that modifies the noun that is the antecedent of the relative pronoun (that, which, who, whom, whose).
Adjective
A word that modifies a noun or pronoun.
Verb
A word that shows action or links a subject to a subject compliment (shows a state or condition of being).
Adverb
A word that modifies a verb, an adjective or another adverb.
Preposition
A word that shoes the relationship between its object and another word in the sentence.
Name the simple prepositions
