Words that are used to join two separate sentences to form one sentence
Co-ordinating conjunctions
Are used to link two simple sentences (also known as main clauses) together as one sentence
There are 7 co-ordinating conjunctions (fanboys)
Sub-ordinating conjunctions
Are used to link a simple sentence (main clause / independent clause) with a sub-ordinate (dependent) clause
There are 10 sub-ordinating conjunctions

Adverbs
Are used to describe Verbs
Example: He ran quickly
Adverbs of Manner
These are used to describe how something is done
Example: He walked slowly
Adverbs of Time
These are used to describe when something is done
Example: She ate pizza yesterday
Adverbs of Place
Used to describe where something was done
Example: She ate at school
Nouns
People, places, or things
Common Noun
Include intimate objects, living things, places, things and concepts
Concrete Nouns
Are Common Nouns that are visible or tactile
Proper Nouns
Names of people, days, months or places. Proper Nouns always begin with a capital letter
Abstract Nouns
Are ideas, feelings, qualities etc. These Nouns can be felt (not physically - cannot be seen, touched, tasted heard or smelt) they refer to idea feelings, occasions or time
Collective Nouns
Are used for a group of things or people. They are usually a singular word that represents a number of things
