pronoun
a word used to take place of a noun
ex: I, her, him, a, that, those, she, he
adjective
a word that describes and gives information about a noun or pronoun
ex: loud, quiet, comfy
verb
a word that shows action or state of being
ex: laugh, burp, walk
adverb
a word that describes a verb, adjective, or other adverb and tells where, when, how, or what extent
ex: slowly, carefully, quickly
preposition
shows the relationship of a noun or pronoun to another word
ex: to, over, under, at, between, in
conjunction
a word that connects words, groups of words, and sentences
ex: for, but, or, yet, so
interjection
a word that expresses surprise or strong feeling and is seperate for the sentence
ex: wow! hey!
