Carrying oxygen around the body.
No nucleus - More space for haemoglobin
Biconcave disk - More surface area for absorbing oxygen
Plasma
Carries all other parts of blood
Oxygen, Carbon Dioxide, Digested Food, Urea, Hormones, Heat
What does haemoglobin do?
Haemoglobin + Oxygen = Oxyhaemoglobin
Oxyhaemoglobin = Haemoglobin + Oxygen
White blood cell
Used for defence.
Platelets
Help with forming scabs. Trap RBCs and Fibrin to do this.
