Brings zoomed in specimen to be close to or in focus.
Either moves the stage or body tube up and down.
What is the nose piece?
Found in between ocular lenses and the stage
Purpose is to hold multiple lenses, allowing the user to change the levels of magnification.
What is the High power objective?
*Hint 40x magnification
Useful for observing fine detail
Example: skeletal muscle, types of nerve cells in the retina.
What is low power objective?
*hint 10x magnification
Useful for large specimens or surveying sma

Rotating disk under the stage.
Controls how much light comes through
What is a mirror light?
Reflect light from an external light source,
up through the bottom of the stage
What is a Base?
The bottom of the of the microscope

What is a stage clip?
The flat platform where you place your slides.
What is an inclination joint?
