What is the ocular lens?
The eyepiece that you look through
What is the objective lens?
This determines what you magnify, like 4x, 10x etc.
What is the arm?
One of the places you hold when you carry the microscope. It looks like a neck
What is the base?
One of the places you hold when you carry the microscope. It’s on the bottom of the entire microscope.
What is the stage?
The stage is where you put the slide you are going to magnify on. It also moves up and down
What are the stage clips?
The stage clips are what holds the slide down so it doesn’t move from a spot
What is the diagram?
The diagram is practically the light adjustment. It controls how light or dark you want to see the object
What is the light source?
The light source where the light comes from. You wouldn’t be able to see your specimen without the light source
What is the coarse adjustment knob?
It’s the bigger of the two knobs. You use it to find the specimen
What is the fine adjustment knob?
It’s the smaller of the two knobs. You don’t use this knob on low power. It clears up the specimen on a higher power
