What is the ocular lens and where do you find it?
You look through the ocular lens and it’s located at the top with two spots to look through.
What is the objective lens and where is it located?
The objective lenses are the different zooming in pieces and are located on the revolving nose piece.
What is the arm and where is it located?
The arm is the piece that connects the base of the microscope to the top. It’s located along the side of the microscope.
What is the base and where is it located?
The base is the bottom of the microscope.
What is the stage and where is it located?
The stage of the microscope is where you put the different slides you want to look at. It’s located underneath the objective lenses.
What are the stage clips and where are they located?
The stage clips help the slide stay in place. The stage clips are the big clips located on the stage.
What is a diaphragm and where is it located?
The diaphragm is the thing that controls how much light is put onto the stage. It’s located under the stage on the very bottom.
What is the light source and where is it located?
The light source helps you see the slide that you are looking at. The light source id located underneath the stage, it’s the big light bulb.
What is the course knob and where is it located?
The course knob fine-tunes the focus of what you’re looking at. It’s the smaller of the two knobs that are located on the side.
What is the fine adjustment knob and where is it located?
The fine adjustment knob let’s you focus what you’re looking at for a more clear view. The fine adjustment knob is the bigger of the two knobs located on the side of the microscope.
