Define ‘tone’
The use of pitch in language to distinguish lexical or grammatical meaning

The division of speech into intonational units, by speed, pitch or pauses

The placement of the nucleus in a tone unit

The syllable that bears the nuclear tone (a fall or rise)

Refers to a feature that is statistically improbable

Refers to a feature that is statistically probable
