A

The plantation economy of the new world and Britain’s wealth was thought to depend on slaves taken to the West Indies and the USA to produce sugar,cotton and tobacco for export to Britain

A

Many people of African origin but not only them. Many white British people were affected and taken as slaves to North Africa

The entire population of Baltimore a village on the south coast of Ireland was captured and spirited away in 1631.
