In the early 1850s the reformers split into two groups, what were they called?

They opposed it, because they be out numbered in the legislative assembly, they also were worried because it would pose as a threat to their culture and language

Why did the province of Canada want the territories of the west ?
They wanted to Pursue it’s expansion and development

In the southern states their economy relied on slaves. The northern states wanted to end slavery. Then Abraham became president and ended slavery. This made southern states mad, and they wanted to separate from northern states. The war ended with the north winning.
How did the civil war have serious impact on the British colonies ?
During the civil war the UK supported the south states. Now the northern states threatened the province of Canada with annexation
