Disturbance caused to a compass by metal objects nearby

Grid to Mag = ADD
How do you convert from Magnetic bearings to Grid bearings?
Mag to Grid = RID
What is Naismith’s Rule?
4km/h walking time, plus 30 mins for every 200m climbed
What is Handrailing?
Following linear features (e.g. edge of wood, river, power line, etc)
What is aiming off?
Deliberately aiming to one side of your target (e.g. to find a bridge)
What is Contouring?
Going around a hill (i.e. staying at same height or contour line)
What is an Attack Point?
An easily identifiable feature near to your objective to aim for
