Stage 3

A

Where the event has happened and search and rescue is underway. Quality of life drops at this stage and stays low for several hours up to several days depending on the severity of the hazard and the level of development of the region/ country

Q

How does the curve differ?

A

Impacts change over time depending on human and physical factors of vulnerability
Different impacts so different sized and shaped curves
A HIC might recover faster so the curve will be different compared to an LIC
